Philadelphia:  the City of Brotherly Love

Visiting from out of town? Here are some recommendations for things to do outside of our wedding!

For history buffs:

See the Liberty Bell and visit Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed.  The Betsy Ross House is also downtown.

Feeling hungry?
Grab a hoagie or cheesesteak, or head to the famous Reading Terminal Market - America's oldest farmer's market - for a variety of great eats. DC's Tom Sietsema loved reviewing Philly's food for the Washington Post.

Garden enthusiasts:

You're just in time for the last weekend of the spectacular 2016 Flower Show at the Convention Center downtown.  Or, drive to the beautiful Longwood Gardens for a pleasant afternoon and view March's Orchid Extravaganza display.

Museums and Other Outings:

Climb the Philadelphia Art Museum's steps like Rocky and check out the currently featured pop-art exhibit.

Visit the new Pixar exhibit at the Franklin Institute (amazing kid-friendly science museum). Also good for kids is the Please Touch museum. Philadelphia also has a zoo!

See Philly's famous Love statue near the downtown hotels:
